Hope Town Rising; Join the Historic Rebuild!

  • About the campaign
  • Updates

It has been almost THREE YEARS since Hurricane Dorian drastically damaged the Elbow Reef Lighstation. A working team of dedicated Bahamians along with two full-time Volunteers have been working tirelessly to complete this project for the benefit of the entire nation of The Bahamas.

Time and donations have sustained all of the work completed to date, yet there is much more to do. The project was estimated (in 2019) to cost One Million to complete; we have now reached over the half-way mark with help from the US Embassy.

Make Hope Town shine again. This is the last lightstation of its kind in the world and the outbuildings still need repairing.

Thank you for your donations which will live on in our work for well into the future decades and beyond!
